First day of classes went pretty well I'd say even though I had 5 of them. Geeze! Anyway here is a class by class break down and then whatever little things happened in between.
Time: 8am - 9am
History discussion class. Well there wasn't much to discuss considering that we haven't even been to a single lecture! The teacher seems like a nice lady... just a little weird. She says the weirdest things and then does this odd chuckle afterwards that would scare a donkey or some rather large animal. She is a history major (of course) and her emphasis is on death and dying in the Middle Ages, pretty weird eh? Get this, she has a tattoo of dancing skeletons on her back. Well that's kinda cool I guess, but she is the LAST person I would have pictured having one (well, based solely on looks of course, I have no idea what she is really like). Familiar faces: Andrew and Kareem. On to the next class!
Time: 9am - 10am
History LECTURE, you know, the thing that you talk about in DISCUSSION (which I had an hour prior). The teacher seems like a cool guy, pretty goofy but obviously very intelligent and he knows what he's talking about. The course seems like it is going to be a lot of work (mostly reading and some essay writing, reading is fine, but the material we have to work with is DRY) but I can get through it, shouldn't be too bad. Not much to report on this class. Familiar faces: Andrew and Kareem. NEXT!
Time: 10am - 11am
Math, Calculus 3, some crazy shit in that class. First of all the professor has an odd accent, I can't really place it. The first thing he said was "svrda ere?" (which I later deciphered into "Is everybody here?") then he immediately proceeded into doing work, yay. He taught us a completely new concept in a matter of 5 minutes and began to rapidly expand on the idea of "tracing a curve" using some weirdo coordinate system set of equations that I've never seen. Once he was done thouroughly confusing the class in the plain cartesian plane, he began to do it in 3-dimensions with addition of a z-axis. Now I've worked in 3-dimensions before, but nothing quite like that. I hope every day isn't this bad. Familiar faces: Kim, Katie, Brent, and some girl whose name I can't remember but am too embarassed to ask because I should know it... I'll figure it out somehow.
*****BREAK from 11-12, I did nothing*****
Time: 12pm - 1pm
Physics. This class seems like it is going to pretty cool. Sure it will be a lot of work (at least 6 hours per assignment... or so thats what the professor says) BUT the way the professor teaches it, it should be fun. Uh... not much to say about this class. Familiar face: Andrew
*****BREAK from 1-6, I went to the credit union and got my history books from Katie*****
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Classic rock class, music of the sixties. This class seems like it is going to be pretty cool. The teacher (who i will refer to as Alestocking from now on) is hilarious. I kept laughing at the stupidest things in that class. I am thinking of listening to more versions of "Hey Joe" to see what other different takes on the song are out there, Frank Zappa's version was pretty far out there and I think I can still hear that creepy synthesized voice of his in my head... I'm scared... then after the class was dinner. Dinner was good, dinner was tasty, dinner was slightly painful because I almost shot wild cherry pepsi out of my nose... and it BURNED! Familiar faces: Megan and Rosie
Time: 8pm - now
Random shit, passing time, did some reading, watched a movie with Tara, hung out in Tara's room a bit, then went to visit Katie and Megan for about 30 minutes. Oh yeah I took a shower... uh... wow my blog is boring, did anyone read this whole thing?
