I am currently reading Augustine: Confessions and I must say it is one of the saddest pieces of literature EVAR! Its about Augustine, you know, that important religious figure way back in the day, and his "confessions," which has him praising God 99% of the time and questioning his own existence the other 1% of the time, here is an excerpt from the book:

"Yet, Lord, I observed men praying to You: and I learnt to do likewise, thinking of You (to the best of my understanding) as some great being who, though unseen, could hear and help me."

So... let me get this straight... he only prays to God because others do it? Well thats a little thing we call peer pressure nowadays, and I thought kids were taught to not give into peer pressure? So Mr. Saint Augustine, if all of your friends ran off of a cliff would you do it too? Religion would not be able to sustain itself without the masses of mindless morons (alliteration WEE!) that follow it blindly without any real conception of what their religion stands for. They only follow their religion because they are told to. Now, if all of religious followers were taught their religion properly I think there would be less zealots and extremists (of all religions) and the world would be a better place. SOOO for all of your religious freaks reading this, pick up the bible or the qua'ran or the tora or whatever book leads you and your religious beliefs and EDUCATE yourself! and for you scientific minds out there heres a little math equation:

war = evil (as designated by the majority of the world)
the main reason for most wars = religion
therefore,
religion = evil
