Yesterday was the day of the big David Gray concert. It was a really good show and The Shrine is a kickass place to hold shows, very nice. I was kind of skeptical at first, I've heard some David Gray stuff, mostly his older stuff, so I didn't really know what to expect. The show was great though, David Gray is a pretty good performer and he does this funny head twitch/shake thing a lot which is quite humorous, but it makes you kind of get into the music more. The man is crazy though, he played for over two hours which included an eight song encore, talk about stamina hah. Again, it was a great show, I wasn't a huge David Gray fan before (sure I like some of his stuff) but this has made me like him more. Oh yeah, more about The Shrine, it has this AWESOME chandelier in the center that is probably the size of my dorm room and it is multi-colored and stuff, very nice. The lighting in there was pretty sweet too, there were a lot of those lights that was really bright and flare up during parts of the songs so the whole audience kind of leans backwards because the lights are so bright, those are cool. Also, the sound was amazing, my favorite part was probably during the song "Please Forgive Me" when there were short moments of silence and then a big BOOOOOM shook the whole place and made my body vibrate, it was a very strange feeling but I liked it.
