Doesn't this just piss you off?
Why can't people just let homosexuals live their lives the way they want to?
Why is the church so against gay marriage? Is it because the bible is against it?
Possibly, but I have my own theory:

In a typical wedding, who holds the ceremony? A priest.
In a typical wedding, where is the ceremony held? A church.
And how much money does a typical wedding cost? A lot, a couple thousand at least, and the church will be getting a portion of this money.
Would a gay couple get married at a church with a priest? Possibly, but not very likely, as most churches wouldn't accept them.

So, gay marriage would not be beneficial to the church at all, and possibly show examples of out of church/no priest ceremonies that other people (non-gay couples) might want to emulate. This increase in "alternative marriages" would decrease business for the church (yes, churches are like big businesses that sell "faith" or "hope," and ultimately "salvation"). The church is just a machine to make money, and marriages are a big part of the money some churches make, other than the tithe that their patrons give.

I, myself, am not against gay marriages or marriage between a man and a woman. I am, however, against people that try to stifle other peoples lives when the two really have nothing to do with eachother. These religious fanatics who want to outlaw gay marriage should just relax, it's not affecting them in any way... well, maybe it makes their heads hurt when they try to contemplate how someone could be gay, or they are all closet homosexuals and are lashing out against them.

End rant.
