I'm sure some of you remember that W32.blaster.worm that was going around the internet about a week ago. Overflowing the RCP buffer protocol which essentially gives your computer a minute before it shuts down. It also created a back door that allowed remote users access to your computer. Well, there is a NEW worm virus out (by the way, those of you wondering what a worm virus is, it's a type of virus that propagates itself by using your open ports and other computers open ports to get itself onto a machine. You won't even know you've downloaded it ;-)). The new worm virus is called W32.Naichi.worm and what it does is once it gets on your machine it forces you to update your windows version so it will be immune to W32.blaster.worm AND once it's done updating your system the worm will delete itself.
So in a nutshell it does this: Increase the security of your computer, gets rid of W32.blaster.worm and THEN deletes itself.
A helpful virus... who would have thought?
AND before a certain Mac fanatic says PC's suck I'll just say both have their uses SO leave the "macs rule pc's suck" argument out of here :-D
PS: I'm a nerd.
