Two posts in quick succession before I go to bed. Here's the first:

A funny thing happened in physics class today. I have the most awesome teacher, Dr. Burke. Anyway, he was lecturing as usual when everyone in the classroom hears this "Hello, hello?" over the intercom. Burke doesn't really notice it at first but he hears it after a few seconds and walks over to the intercom. The conversation went as follows:

Burke: Hello?
Woman: Hello, this is Vons electronic transactions department, I'm looking for a Mr. Something
B: That is me, what's the problem?
W: Well, it appears that your most recent transaction of 64 something has had some complications.
B: Oh... is that so?
W: Yes, we would--
B: My you have a sexy voice.
W: Excuse me?
B: Sorry to trick you but you've somehow managed to call a physics classroom's intercom at USC during a lecture.
W: Oh something something
B: You have a very sexy voice.

Blah blah, he continued to hit on her, asked her her age and her name and where she worked, continued to comment on her sexy voice. It was super hilarious. You had to be there to fully appreciate it. At the end of it she said "I've never experienced anything quite like this before" and he said something to the effect of "Me neither, I'm glad I was able to experience it with you. I'm sure it won't ever happen again though." and that was pretty much it. She hung up (most likely feeling extremely embarassed) and then Burke just talked about how crazy things always happen to him for the next 10 minutes. Ah, it was a refreshing break from discussing the effect of multiple di-poles in an electric field...
