This is kind of funny... and yet sad at the same time.

oooooooooh I feel better now. Why? That's a secret :-D

sigh... every time a problem gets fixed with my car another one pops up. I bet the mechanic is purposely making more problems just so he can get more money. I mean, I thought Jetta's were supposed to be reliable cars, and when we test drove it we did a pretty thorough job checking everything, but he just seems to find new shit that never seemed to exist before. Now I have no money (well, I have ten bucks) and I need a new clutch. I also have no job. My life just keeps getting worse and worse, I just want one thing to go right for once.

Trip Details:
Day 1: For those of you that don't know and want to know EVERYTHING (Ashley), I went to Chicago by way of plane. The flight was okay... kind of weird, first, while checking in at the San Diego airport a man was arrested for trying to sneak in a metal shank (home-made knife/stabbing weapon) in his shoes! Then I sat next to this lady with a whiny baby that shit it's pants half way through the flight. That was lovely. Also, the inflight movie was a worse piece of shit than what the baby left in it's diaper, it was Daredevil. Not only was the inflight movie a piece of crap, but the headphones weren't working, so the captain decided to play the movie over the PA system, so it couldn't be avoided. Not only was one unable to avoid listening to the movie, but it was also in Spanish, wow.

Then I arrived at the airport and met Abuelita (my grandmother, abuelita translated literally means little grandmother, but it's a term of affection), my dad and my little cousin Josie. Josie was disappointed because she thought I was a little boy from what everyone had told her about me.

From the airport we went to my Tia Rosa's house and there I met my niece Liana, a little girl with a huge attitude. Tia Rosa bought Dunkin Doughnuts, apparently she loves them, so that's what we ate. Liana started spazzing because she ate too much sugar, that was funny. We also watched Spirit of the Cimmaron or whatever that movie about the horse is, boy was that the stupidest movie ever, let me give you some cliffs notes:

Scene I: Horse 1: NEIGH NEIGH EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
*horse 1 runs away terrified, gets captured, meets horse 2, end scene*
Scene II: Horse 1: neigh
Horse 2: NEIGH
Horse 1: NEIGH *snort*
*horse 2 runs around in circles, horse 1 then proceeds to neigh for an obscenenly long amount of time*
Horse 2: neigh
*end scene*
Scene III: *horse 2 dies, horse 1 neighs all day, all day, and all of the night*

END MOVIE

Next, we stopped at Abuelita's house where we met up with Abuelito (grandfather), Tio Chano, Tia Francis, Tia Angelica, Tia Sandra, my cousins Jeoul, Priscilla, Glenda, Carissa and Veronica. Talk about a full house. After a night full of eating and talking my dad drove me over to my Tio Juan's house where we met Juan and where I stayed the night.

Day 2: I didn't fall asleep till about 5 o'clock, the two hour time difference was pretty killer and I was woken up at 9 to go to IHOP with most of the aforementioned people. IHOP was fun, I had to order in spanish though, which wasn't hard at all, but my spanish is pretty weak. Once breakfast was over with we headed back to Abuelita's and just did a bunch of talking again, they sure love to talk. After all of the talking my mom had arrived in Chicago and I was about to leave to go see her at her hotel when Veronica came running out of the house and just clung to me because she didn't want me to leave. It was kind of cute. But pretty much the whole time I'm with her I feel really old because I have to hold her hand or carry her or whatever... makes me feel kind of like a dad, barf.

Anyway, I met up with my mom and we went to Spago's, Wolfgang Pucks restaurant, very expensive and very fancy... and not very good. Sure, the food was okay, just not as good as what you pay for and the portions are TINY, oh well. I had dinner with my sister, my brother, my mom, my grandmother (on my mom's side), my grandfather (mom's side again) and his wife Silvia, my Aunt Patty (mom's again), and her new husbane Wes, after dinner was bed time at the hotel.

Day 3: The day of my brothers graduation, the real reason why I was in Chicago. The graduation was long and boring, as all of them are, he graduated from the University of Chicago by the way with over 900 graduates during that ceremony (there were 4 ceremonies in total). It was at least 3 hours... long and boring and hot and the speakers SUCKED!! Oh well.

The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful, so I'll just cliff's notes the rest:
Got hit on by a bum.
Took tons of public transportation.
Got the flu.
Slept for about 1 hour the night I got the flu.
Was woken up by 2 car accidents, 2 hours apart at teh SAME exact location (Chicago drivers suck)
Felt crappy the rest of the time.
Plane home was long and boring.
Disappointment tonight.
That's it.

I'm back, a long post with details is coming.
