The fire alarm for New North just went off. It's a tradition here that the fire alarm in that building gets set off at least 10 times a year. Pretty annoying since I live right next to the building and it is quite loud. It was funny watching all the little freshmen scramble out of the building though. :-D

I'm back here at school. I'm perfectly fine and everything is going OK!
Apprehension about coming to school is gone, optimism is high (I hope my classes are fun... a little bit at least) and now it's time to READ stuff.

Back to school tomorrow... we'll see how this year goes.
I'm optimistic... but apprehensive at the same time.

Has anyone seen that new Gap commercial featuring Madonna and Missy Elliot (I think...) singing about jeans?
Yeah... that just makes me want to cry.
edit: On a side note, why is the strap part of strap-on censored when shown on TV?

California has just re-organized it's alphabet for the upcoming ballot so the "alphabetical" order will be in non-standard alphabetical order.
It will be in this order: RWQOJMVAHBSGZXNTCIEKUPDYFL
stupid.

I'm sure some of you remember that W32.blaster.worm that was going around the internet about a week ago. Overflowing the RCP buffer protocol which essentially gives your computer a minute before it shuts down. It also created a back door that allowed remote users access to your computer. Well, there is a NEW worm virus out (by the way, those of you wondering what a worm virus is, it's a type of virus that propagates itself by using your open ports and other computers open ports to get itself onto a machine. You won't even know you've downloaded it ;-)). The new worm virus is called W32.Naichi.worm and what it does is once it gets on your machine it forces you to update your windows version so it will be immune to W32.blaster.worm AND once it's done updating your system the worm will delete itself.
So in a nutshell it does this: Increase the security of your computer, gets rid of W32.blaster.worm and THEN deletes itself.
A helpful virus... who would have thought?
AND before a certain Mac fanatic says PC's suck I'll just say both have their uses SO leave the "macs rule pc's suck" argument out of here :-D
PS: I'm a nerd.

People have been bugging me to blog. Okay, one person actually (Megan). So I guess I will.
I begin packing to go back to school TOMORROW. Holy crap. I don't really have much stuff though. Just clothes, shower stuff, personal items and some school items. Not tons of stuff like some girls I know (Carolyn) who have THREE boxes full of shoes.
I stayed up most of the night ripping my collection of CD's onto my computer so I won't have to take my CD's with me. The CD's ripped include: (just for you to read, I won't give you any songs you damn babiges)
-The Clash, eleven CDs
-The Pixies, four CDs
-Jeff Buckley, one CD
-Death Cab For Cutie, 2 CDs
-The Police, 2 CDs
-Social Distortion, 7 CDs
-Violent Femmes, one CD
-Fugazi, one CD
-The Strokes, one CD
-Jawbreaker, two CDs
More later, that's it for tonight! HURRAY FOR MY COMPTAR!
