Daniel Sexsmith: Maker of Sex

Last post was saturday? So I'll tell you what happened Sunday, Monday AND today (today being tuesday despite the post date saying it's wednesday.)

Sunday: My plans with Heather were changed from Saturday to Sunday, which is perfectly fine. So, she came over at about 2 and we just hung out for a bit trying to figure out a place to go. We decided on Parkside (of course) which is pretty much an upper-scale cafeteria, it's pretty good. We had an awesome lunch/dinner and then I went to her apartment for the first time! I met one of her roommates and apparently I know another one of her roommates, but she wasn't there. She's some girl I met at orientation, she probably doesn't even remember me. Oh well! I had fun and I got pseudo-lost on my way home... but I wasn't really lost, I just thought I was. For the rest of Sunday I was really lazy, I've been trying to get as many lazy hours in as possible because I figure I only have now to be lazy and I'll be busy for the rest of my life. So I want to be as lazy as possible NOW.

Monday: Monday was super harmoniganzay. That is an addittion of the words harmonica, extravaganza and day. She came over, we jammed on our harmonicas (more like she played umm... As the Saints go marching, or whatever it is called, while I sadly blew crappy little notes into my harmonica.) After that we went to the bookstore to buy books. HOLY CRAP was the line long, it was winding through every since bookcase pretty much around the whole inside of the first floor of the bookstore. The line went pretty fast and we were out within an hour. then... LUNCH TIME! We had pizza, mmm delicious. We also had columbo for dessert, mmmm ice cream. Back in my room I opened my presents! Megan gave me these awesome personalized business cards WITH a cool card holder and I received an awesome book titled: "This Book Will Change Your Life" (visit them at http://www.thiswebsitewillchangeyourlife.com)
We did other stuff too, mostly just goofed around and had fun.

Tuesday: First day of classes (if you haven't guessed by now, I have no class on Monday). First class was Earthquakes. I think that class will be pretty fun and interesting. The professor reminds me of Kevin Klein. Energetic and fun, he'll definitely make the class enjoyable. Second class was East Asian Society. It seems, depending on which section the professor decides to focus on, that this class will either be incredibly boring or fascinating. Let's hope he creates a good balance between the boredom and entertainment. My final class of the day was Drawing. This class is going to be awesome. First off I met a ton of cool people. Jennifer, Olympia, Solmae, Blake and Patrick to name the ones I remember. Secondly, I really enjoy drawing, we did 25 drawings in class today in five different styles. The three hours passed by quite quickly. For one style I wasn't quite sure what to do, but I must have done it right because the teacher complimented me :-) For the last few hours (drawing is from 6pm to 9 pm) I've been relaxing. My eyes kind of hurt after concentrating on a single object for so long... hopefully after some more days in art my eyes will get used to focusing and observing very closely.

AND finally, under the guidance of Benrik and This Book Will Change Your Life, I participated in the Day 1 warm-up. For warming up they have a list of 20 some suggestions of things for you to do to change your life! I took a wussy way out today and decided to go on a one minute hunger strike. IT WAS HELL! That whole minute all i could think about was eating. Once that minute was over... I was free to eat! But I was too tired to get up to go buy food. So the one-minute hunger strike has turned into a 4 hour hunger strike and counting. It might even turn into a 12 hour hunger strike! I'm really taking this thing seriously.

Tomorrow is "Look at everyone like they might be your true love" day. I think that's pretty self-explanatory... I hope I don't make anyone jealous with this day. You know who you are ;-)
