Daniel Sexsmith: Maker of Sex

Hola people! It's getting close to school time and that means... Megan came back to California! And we hung out yesterday.

Nothing particularly super exciting happened, but it was nice/fun seeing her. We just relaxed, watched some TV, laughed and had good times. Oh yeah, we also went to Chili's with ASHLEY. WE GOT FREE FOOD. Well, free for Megan and me. Ashley picked up our tab because she rocks. Or maybe it was because she was slightly drunk... probably that. Christie was our waitress and I hadn't seen her in forever so it was nice to see her as well.

I'd tell you more but I doubt any of you would really find it entertaining even though I did. :)

In summary: YAY! Megan's back. YAY! Free food. YAY! For Ashley providing said food.

Finally blogger let me log in.

Yesterday I ran into the most AWESOME girl ever and she served me the most AWESOME food ever. Well, not really but I did run into Ashley while she was working at Chili's. Too bad she wasn't my waittress or I would have tipped her THREE BILLION dollars.

Also, I found a scorpion in my pool today. It was red and black and overall very... interesting. I had to kill it though since they are going to be replastering the pool tomorrow and they can't very well plaster over the thing. Plus no one is trained in scorpion removal. I've seen it done, you grab the stinger part so it can't sting you and fling it wherever. But that just seemed a bit too dangerous so I ended up killing it.

Now to mow the lawn!

I saw the Manchurian Candidate today. It was actually quite good! Scared the hell out of me though...

I mean, what WOULD we do if some Manchurian ran for president? I don't know.

Ok, lame joke. The movie was really quite good though. Engaging and thought provoking with a side of extreme paranoia mixed in with modern day fears, it created quite a cocktail of suspense. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys conspiracy theories, politics, psychological thrillers or any type of good movie that isn't only comedy or blood filled action. Oh yeah, and if you like reverse Oedipus syndrome then go see it as well.

Speaking of movies, there is a disturbing trend going on in the movie industry. It's always been there but recently it has been bugging me more and more. I am sick and tired of the SAME actors being in EVERY movie (independant and low budget films largely excluded). EVERY movie has the same set of actors. In the four previews before the Manchurian Candidate, TWO of them had Angelina Jolie in them. One had Colin Farrell playing Alexander the Great (barf). There are more actors than just those two that I'm sick of. I just want to see some NEW actors. It's somewhat hard to imagine these actors as the characters they are trying to portay when they play so many characters. I don't see Alexander the Great, I see Colin Farrell PLAYING Alexander the Great and that is distracting. GIVE ME NEW ACTORS!

In other news: NOTHING! I was supposed to visit/stay at my Mom's today but she never called... I called her but she didn't answer. She was probably busy or something. Or maybe the phone was dead. Conclusion: I didn't visit.

Oh, if you love silly cartoons you all should check out Venture Bros. It's hilarious. It does have some rather... adult scenes sometimes. Example: In tonights episode the resident badass, Brock, and ugly faced hot bodied russian lady, whose name I forgot, were "gettin it on" while the Venture Bros (two idiot brothers who are complete wusses) watched through a bay window. Ugly faced woman had a space helmet on (Brock's suggestion) and the boys were investigated a renegate Space Pirate. They thought she was the space pirate and that she was attacking Brock! Of course they saw what he was doing to her but they assumed it was the "only weapon he has! He has to keep his hands free for... stuff." And they cheered him on as he "assaulted" the Space Pirate. funny funny funny. More funny if you're actually watching it of course.

That's all for now. Classes start soon, hopefully I get the ones I want considering I have to crash them ALLLLLLLL because I was given a very late registration date. YAY!
