Daniel Sexsmith: Maker of Sex

I suppose I should post now and make good on my previous claim of "thursday or friday" as the time you should see a next post. In my defense I want to state that I did not specify WHICH thursday or friday, it could be any one of them! So consider yourself lucky you're getting a post on wednesday, one or two days EARLIER than I said previously.

Anyway, the presentation went quite well. It started off a bit rocky when one of the members who brought the cd with all of our media stuff on it only to find out that his cd burner didn't burn so we had no stuff to show the class! So he had to go back home to try to re-burn it and the teacher agreed to stall while we waited for him to come back. Unfortunately, he took a bit too long and due to time contraints the teacher made us start before he came back. In light of this, we decided to do the activity that wouldn't take all of us and split the class up into groups, each of us having one or two students more than originally planned. No big deal.

My group went pretty well. I felt like it was going ok, i was facilitating discussion amongst the members and they were asking me questions and i was asking them with some knowledge and i felt like i held my own. After the group meetings the three of us (guys in the group that were there) met up and discussed how we felt it went. The other two guys both said they felt their went pretty badly and i told them i felt it went well. Just around that time two girls from my group came up to me and took me to the side to tell me that they thought I did a good job and they talked about how they're worried aobut their presentation blah blah. It was nice and a good confidence builder for the next part of the presentation.

Around this time the other guy returned. But no CD still! However, he did bring his laptop and a portable flash stick so we could hook it up to the projector and show all of our media crap on the big screen up front. He felt bad about before so said he'd lead the second half, and he did. He did a good job and redeemed himself! Not that I was upset with him in the first place, everyone makes mistakes, but i think the other guys were a bit miffed. The second half went well, the guy lead it and i was kind of like second leader while the other guys were kinda quiet, but still chiming in from time to time.

We went a total of 80 minutes... we overshot the expected 60 minutes by quite a bit but the teacher was fine with it. So all in all: good presentation. I'm expecting an A, but I don't know how strict the teacher will be on it so maybe a B? Who knows.

I have a test tomorrow, so back to studying since I can't sleep!

DANCREST OUT!
