Classes have finally ALL started. I've been in classes for a good three weeks now (wow , so long!) but I only had one class for the first two weeks because the other three were late start classes. And since I hadn't really had any classes I haven't had the opportunity to tell you about them. But now I have and now I do. Since I'm still rather lost on what I really want to do I'm still taking random classes here and there while kind of focusing on fine arts which is what I think I want to do. So complex. Anyway, here's a class by class break down:

Philosophy - The Nature of Logic (and some other crap): This class is really quite interesting so far. I haven ever taken a logic class and so I often make logical faux pas and make an ass of myself. This class will remedy that! Hopefully. So far we're just learning about basic argument techniques, the teacher promised that we would only be doing this for a few more weeks and then we'll work into how to become sharper thinkers, better writers and overall more well rounded people. I think he's a bit over-optimistic about the power of logic, but we shall see. Fun teacher, he reminds me of a cross between Dimitri Martin (for those that know him) and John Leguizamo (not the annoying part of him, the non-annoying, somewhat witty part of him). I am enjoying this class a lot!

Art History - The History of Photography: I thought this class was initially going to be somewhat of a pushover. I mean, it's about pictures. Wow, that sounds hard... but this is the one class I'm actually somewhat worried about. It's about the historical, political, cultural, personal and whatever else significance of pictures and how they've influenced history. The class has been separated into groups and we have an HOUR LONG presentation coming up in a few weeks. Well, a few weeks for my class since we have to go first. Lovely. I hate presentations and I hate going first and I hate things that come in one hour chunks. Two thirties please. All the best things come in thirty minute chunks (tv shows, showers, 30 minute drives, etc. etc... ;-)). What good things come in hour long segments? Short, crappy movies, dentist appointments, hour long drives, classes. Anyway, back to the class. Hour long presentation, we will have a total of 8-10 essays assigned throughout the semester, we'll need to keep a journal and take photographs (the easy and fun part), multiple off campus trips to museums (also fun) and a bunch of other stuff. So while I think the class will be fun and interesting, it will also be one of the more time intensive classes I'm taking this semester.

Psychology something or other: easy class. i mostly took this because I needed another class and all the others I wanted were full :( not much news on this one yet as we've only had it once. All I know is that it will focus a lot on biology, which I'm decent at. Three hour long class on Wednesdays, what a pain.

Illustration class!: I'm way excited about this one. It's about animation and animating for MONEY. Money is good. It's taught by a 30 year veteran in the biz so he knows all of the secrets (or so he claims) and he will give us "super secrets and techniques" on how to be successful in the business. He expects us all to do a lot of drawing and development of personal artistic styles while learning how to streamline the commercial illustration process through the use of computers. Fun fun! Too bad I sat next to an idiot the first day... hopefully I don't have to sit next to her again. Good artist, horrible at computers, asked me questions non-stop and i wanted to cry because she wouldn't leave me alone. :( I'm still excited about this class though and I have high hopes for it!

That's it for now. Adios
