Howdy everyone, did you miss me?
Good news! I'm not sick anymore. Unfortunately no one brought me chicken noodle soup! Some friends you guys are, geeze. But I did find a nice bottle of sparkling cider to fill in the empty hole the no soup left (you know how i love my cider, and if you don't, well, i love it).
My dad is off in Italy right now so the house is completely empty. Too empty. It is too quiet sometimes so I turn on the fancy new tv in the living room. It is ALWAYS on when my dad is home since he is so in love with it, he's even started calling it his "girlfriend." With the tv on it seems a bit less empty in here so i don't feel as lonely, which is good.
Group presentation is coming up this Thursday! That's so soon. It is unfair that some groups have two MONTHS longer than us to work on their presentation (more like two months longer to procrastinate). Hopefully the teacher will go easier on us since we have to go first. The presentation is supposed to shoot for an hour long but so far, the way i figure it, we have about 50 minutes give or take 5-10 depending on how much the class contributes. So pretty much 40-60 minutes, that works, right? I think 40 minutes is a good deal of time, especially for the first group. I sort of feel like the leader of the group which isn't something I feel very often. Usually I do my share of work and let other people take initiative. But with this group of guys, I've been the one that has set up meeting times and places, I typed out and planned out the outline and general presentation procedure, I did research on the photographers we need to talk about and, i don't know, i just feel like a lot less would have gotten done if i didn't do more than i needed to. That's not to say the other guys haven't done their share, because they have. I just feel like the leader, which is a pretty unique experience for me. I'm usually more of a follower.
I may be going up to LA next week sometime! Of course this is a "may" and not a "will" so who knows. It's up to Megan, Katie, my car, my classes and my laziness to decide if i'm going or not. But if i DO go, i'll probably get to see Sun and Heather and just visit with some of my friends from USC that i haven't seen in ages. It should be fun if it does happen! I just despise semi-long drives :)
That's all for now, expect a post either Thursday or Friday chronicling my adventures in presentation land.
DANCREST OUT!
